It’s Spring. Let’s Increase Home Value

It's spring. Let's increase home value…

A new survey one from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and Better Homes & Gardens magazine notes that homeowners are choosing eco-options on an unprecedented scale. Almost 75% of those surveyed were looking for energy-efficient features in their choice for a new home, including more outdoor features. "Access to the outside is key from the kitchen" Gayle Butler, BH&G's editor in chief noted.

In a January survey of more than 2,000 readers, 40 percent said that the yard and outdoor living are almost as important as the inside of their houses. 66% of the respondents described "no space wasted" design as desirable and a "new front porch" as a plus. Over 60% considered ample storage space and a comfortable family gathering space as being very important. (source: builderonline.com and The Seattle Times).
